March 2016 IPSY

Hello Beauties! Wow, I can’t believe it’s almost been a year since subscribing to Ipsy. Next month will be my final un-bagging. I’ve really enjoyed receiving this hot pink bubbled package, but I will not be continuing anytime soon. Main reason being that I haven’t really used most of the samples that I received. My teenager self would’ve loved this subscription service and find all of the products awesome. Especially because for $10 a month you get a variety of products to try out. At this stage of my life I prefer to stay away from certain products that contain harmful ingredients. I am not 100% fully committed to all natural/organic products..not yet at least. However, the past few products I received contain more chemicals that link to cancer than beneficial ones and I feel uncomfortable using them. This is my brief unboxing for March 2016.  Continue reading

January 2016 IPSY

thumb_IMG_5818_10241   thumb_IMG_8565_1024Hello Beauties! This month’s Ipsy bag has an All Eyes On You theme. Three of the 5 eye-products are full-sized. The other 2 products are random deluxe-sized products, but still pricey when you calculate the product value. This blog post is my first impression on each of the 5 items for the month of January 2016. This is my personal opinion about each of the items as I open and swatch/try them for the first time. Are these products worth the $10 a month? Check back next month for February’s un-bagging and a brief review on the items from this January’s bag, and find out if I actually enjoyed these products or if they were even used at all. Perhaps this will help you decide if you were considering this makeup subscription or if you are here just to see what this Ipster received in her glam bag you are in the right place! Sephora Favorites Give Me More Lip 2015 4 of 4

thumb_IMG_4961_10241   thumb_IMG_4957_10241Hello Beauties! Thank you so much for your patience! I have finally concluded part 4 of 4 on the Sephora Give Me More Lip Favorite Set review. As you all know, this set was a limited holiday edition, and is no longer in stock. I did write a blog post when it first came out, and have written a first impression on all 15 products. I broke this review up into 4 parts so you wouldn’t have to scroll down for an hour reading my post. I also broke it up so that I could test out the products a bit more and give you a review on each item. I hope this review gives you a better idea about the individual lip product, if you had been wanting to know more about them. Or perhaps, this post will introduce a new lip item to your collection. Enjoy!  Continue reading

Sephora Oh What Fun Freebie Sack

thumb_IMG_7050_10241   thumb_IMG_7037_10241Hello Beauties! This is the third and final free sample bag from Sephora this year. I was not planning to get this I swear! I was not going to purchase any more products that is until I received an email and a postcard reminding me of a $20 off on any purchase of $50. I could not pass it up. Sigh* I caved and purchased my first eyeshadow palette. After much research on which one I should purchase I took the plunge and purchased my first Naked Palette. Anyway, this post is not about that, this post is about this free festive bag with any online purchase of $25 or more. It comes with 1 full-size sheet mask from Sephora plus 7 mystery samples. After looking at all the possible items I could get I was really hoping to get any one of these: Lipstick from Shiseido, Glamglow Mud Mask, Becca, or Estee Lauder eye cream. Not everyone gets the same samples so if you would like to be completely surprised do not read my post since I show you everything I received. If you are interested in this freebie the code is: SURPRIS3 make sure to add that during checkout so you can get one too. Continue reading

November 2015 IPSY

thumb_IMG_5818_10241   thumb_IMG_5822_10241Hello Makeup Lovers! Thank you for your positive feedback on last month’s un-bagging! It helps a lot to know what kind of content layout you guys prefer. As you know this is my 7th Ipsy un-bagging and so far everything has been good. I say good and not great because some products I really use and some I don’t. That’s why I retook my quiz a few months back so that I can receive makeup brushes instead of hair products. I only received my first brush last month a few months after I retook the quiz. Hey, better late than never right? Anyway, this month in my November bag I received: an eyeliner, a primer, a mascara, a highlighter, and a makeup brush. Come take a look and let me know what you got in your bag! Continue reading

thumb_IMG_4675_10241   thumb_IMG_4704_10241   I have been gifting the $25 Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Lip as gifts since lip products are my beauty item must-haves. I had planned to buy a set for myself but they were sold out! When I checked back a few weeks later I was really excited when Sephora came out with their Holiday Give Me More Lip set for $59! I purchased one immediately and now that I’ve had this set for some time I wanted to write a blog post about it. When I saw that it was out of stock I wasn’t sure if I should put up a post, that is until I saw a few in stores and then they restocked online a  few days ago! If you were eyeing this kit and weren’t sure if you should purchase continue reading for my overview, price breakdown, and swatches. Perhaps this is something you want to pick up during the VIB ROUGE or VIB sale that is coming up soon. Continue reading

Sephora Favorites JCPenney Exclusives

thumb_IMG_4981_1024-1   thumb_IMG_4976_1024-1‘Tis the season to be jolly, so many holiday gift values have come to town! These sets are perfect for beauty lovers wanting to save a few extra bucks and try out a variety of products one wouldn’t normally buy all at once. Did you know that Sephora inside JCPenney has a few exclusive sets? I wanted to see if they had better deals than the standalone Sephora but I was not able to find them anywhere online! If you want to purchase these sets you have to go directly into the store to view/test/purchase. Good marketing idea JCPenney, but sort of inconvenient for people like me… In this post I tried my best to include product information, price, and size. Just note I may not have precise information for some of them. If you are interested in value sets exclusive to Sephora inside JCPenney please continue reading. Continue reading

This month is my 6th Ipsy bag and it is still fun to receive this hot pink bubbled package. This month I received a hair mask, face exfoliator, liquid lipstick, cream eyeshadow, and an eye brush. If you are interested in these items or want to know a bit more about what Ipsy offers, continue reading for my mini review and swatches.  Continue reading
