Hello Snackers! I mentioned a few blog posts ago that my sister and I both chipped in to subscribe to Love with Food. Except this month, she had the box all to herself since September is her birthday month. Well, almost all to herself.. she was nice enough to let me try some of the snacks. If you would like to know more about the snacks she received this month and some of the items they send please continue reading.
September 2015 Total Snack items: 8
Theme: Smarty PantsTasting box
Below I list the snacks in the order listed on the information brochure. I also add website links to the brands if you want to check out other products or learn more about them.
|1. Adult Complete Vitamin Pack||SmartyPants|
|I thought there would be 3 of these since the photo shows three gum-drop gummies. It only contains 2. Six of these equal to 1 serving and they sell them in travel packets for daily use or in bottles to take at home. It doesn’t taste overly sweet, soft, slightly chewy, and has a fruity taste to it. This product is free of GMO’s, artificial flavors, artificial preservatives, colors, gluten, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, yeast, shellfish, etc. Some of the ingredients are organic and the omega 3 is derived from fish oil found in anchovy and sardine. I think this is pretty tasty for an adult multi-vitamin. I wouldn’t mind eating these.|
|2. Sea Salt Caramel Apple Granola||Bear Naked|
|Love with Food sent us a different flavored granola from this company before. We did not enjoy the Coconut Almond Curry one. This time the flavor was a lot better. Slightly sweet and salty, contains dried apple, and oatmeal. Nice to top over yogurt or eaten as is. They have tons of other flavors and I think this brand is easily accessible in supermarkets.|
|3. Mini Peanut Butter Clutter||Jimmybar!|
|They have such pretty colored packaging! A pretty teal blue calming feel to them. They are gluten free, Non-GMO, dairy free, and they have vegan friendly bars as well. These are the ingredients to this particular flavor: peanuts, dates, almonds, peanut butter, honey and crisp brown rice. That is it. Wow very clean indeed. It’s nice to know snack options like these exist. They taste chewy, has a crispy texture from the brown rice, and almost like a peanut butter and jelly treat. Nice for feel good energy boost and guilt-free treat.|
|4. Cookie Thins||Mrs. Thinster’s|
|Wow these are so good! These are thin, crispy, cake batter flavored cookies. If you are into sweets, you must try these! These are Non-GMO, no corn syrup, nut allergen friendly, no artificial flavors colors or preservatives. I knew this packaging looked familiar but didn’t realize until I checked out their website they sell these at Costco! Oh boy. They have 3 flavors in total, check out the website if you are interested she also has recipes too.|
|5. Gluten Free Original Mini Pretzel Crips||Snack Factory|
|These are gluten free pretzels. They are mini, thin, and crunchy.They don’t make you feel like you need to drink something like a regular pretzel would do. These are yummy pretzel crackers and of course they have a variety of other flavors too. Some flavors include: vanilla yogurt, dark chocolate, cheddar, caramel, and more.|
|6. Cheddar N’ Stuff Super Crackers||Funley’s Delicious|
|These are Non-GMO crackers with hidden vegetable, broccoli in this case. They have images of the Funley founders and their dog on each cracker.These tasted like cheddar with a hint of vegetable, they were ok but not my favorite.|
|7. Snapea Crisps||Harvest Snaps|
|I remember watching snack un-boxings and wanting to try these snacks. I really wanted to try these snacks from a snack subscription but never did. I finally got to try these at Costco when they started having these in stock and I have bought this snack a couple of times. It’s nice to see a favorite in the box! These are light, crispy, and slightly salted. They have other flavors too and they taste good as well, I enjoyed their onion and thyme flavor the best.|
|8. Fruit Snacks||Yumearth Organics|
|I’ve tried their Sour Beans from a previous box and really enjoyed them. This one is also very yummy. This came with 6 pieces and this is a much better alternative to fruit snacks compared to a lot of other brands. I wouldn’t feel too bad giving this to my child as a treat. This is a great party favor for kid’s parties or as a Halloween treat for close neighbors. I was just reading their frequently asked questions page and they answer consumer’s questions with concern and care. Check these out if you like these types of snacks!|
I would say it was a good box this month. If I had to pick my favorites they would be: Snapea Crisps, Cookie Thins, Pretzel Crisps, and the Fruit Snacks. When we signed up for the yearly plan we paid less than $10 a box. Now you can get yours for about $8.00 a month for the tasting box.
I hope you enjoyed this post and thanks for reading! If you have any questions, suggestions, or tips please leave them in the comments below. You can try your first box for an additional 40% off Click here for my link if you wish.
