Give Me Some Lip Unboxing

Hello beauties! Sephora Favorites are one of my most sought out items and I am constantly stalking their website to see which ones they’ve put together next. I am so excited to share with you their latest lip set, which surprisingly is still available online! This post contains detailed images of the products as well as swatches. If you do not like spoilers, this post is not for you. If you’ve been eyeing this set but still wanted more details, then definitely check this out. This post is VERY detailed with images for your viewing purposes. Also I wanted to say a huge thank you to 300 subscribers! I am doing my first giveaway! One lucky winner will receive a brand new Give Me Some Lip kit! Scroll down all the way to the end for more details on how you can enter!

the purchase

I’ve been eyeing the Lancôme Juicy Shakers for some time now but could not justify the $21 price tag. When I saw this set included a full-size version as well as the latest liquid lipstick from Smashbox I had to get it. All of the other lip products in this kit are ones I’ve tried before and ones that I like, I was glad to see colors I would actually wear on an everyday basis.

front packaging

This lip set comes in this adorable lip-shaped box. It’s nicely sized to grab like a clutch in the palm of a hand. The images of each product are nicely printed on the front of this sturdy, blush- pink cardboard. There are 2 full-size items and 4 nicely sized deluxe lip products in this set.

back of packaging

On the back you’ll find a pull-out information sheet of each of the products. This sheet is taped to the back and can easily be removed unlike the front of the packaging which is printed onto the box.

information sheet sample

On each information sheet you’ll find the ingredient list, shade, weight, and country of origin.

It looks like a cute heart-shaped box of chocolates.

inside packaging

A handful of shredded black paper fills the inside to help keep the products from moving around too much.

Fresh® Sugar Rosé Tinted Lip Treatment

Packaging: Nice thin tube it’s almost as tall as my pinky. Twist open top and twist tube to get product.

Scent: Fresh lemon scent, very delightful.

Application: Smooth, creamy, and applies sheer with a hint of pink.

Review: This is a lovely product for an everyday lip treatment. It livens up dry looking lips and easy to put on without a mirror. It is a delicate product and can break easily if used too harshly, it does melt if you leave it in a hot place. I do prefer these deluxe sized versions. I think this a really nice product and best to purchase in a set or with beauty points.

Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in Lovecraft

Packaging: Nice black studded tube, easy to open and close. Easy to twist the product up and down.

Scent: Lovely sweet warm scent and smells like Creme brûlée.

Application: Smooth, creamy, and applies mauve pink nude. Long lasting color, isn’t as patchy as some of her darker shades.

Review: This is a pretty shade of color, nice for a long night out.

Lancôme Juicy Shaker in 313 Boom-Meringue

Packaging: Resembles a cocktail shaker, fun and cute concept. You shake it so the oil and color mix together. It even has a little metal ball inside so it actually sounds fun when you mix it.

Scent: A nice sweet lemony scent with a mix of candy scent.

Application: After you shake the product, dab on the product with the  soft sponge applicator. It feels hydrating and slightly slick. It applies sheer with the tiniest hint of color, it isn’t long lasting, and feels oily, but not greasy. Makes lips feel and look moisturized, comfortable on the lips too.

Review: This is a fun. intriguing lip product. It doesn’t have much color payoff and it isn’t long lasting. From all the reviews I read, most of the colors are sheer and having more than one is not worth it if you get a bunch of the lighter shades. If you are looking for one with pigment go with the darker shade. If you don’t need much color and just want a bit of shine, choose anyone with the scent of your choice. I kind of want the cherry or raspberry one.

Lancome Juicy Shaker

Lancome Juicy Shaker

NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien (rose pink)

Packaging: Nice sleek tube, easy to open and close cap.

Scent: Slightly chemically scented.

Application: Smooth, creamy, and applies nicely this is a pretty color.

Review: For those of you who received your beauty insider birthday gift last year, this is the same exact shade. I like this color and formula. I’m not sure if there is more product once I finish the tip, since it doesn’t twist up or down, and the packaging looks like plastic I’m not sure if there is a sharpener for this? Does anyone know if there is more product in here once the tip is used up? If yes, is there a pencil sharpener for it?

Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Chihuahua

Packaging: Nice thin tube, cute size, twist open top in a  squeeze tube to get product.

Scent: Has a strong fragrant, slightly sweet, lingers for a bit. Can be too much for those sensitive to scents.

Application: Smooth, creamy, and applies dusty mauve. Long lasting color with transfer and doesn’t completely dry.

Review: Depending on how much you apply to your lips it can feel a bit drying especially if you put on one thin layer. This formula is creamy, transfers, and doesn’t dry down completely. A bit of the product gets into my mouth and I do not like the taste of it, make sure to do the lip wipe. Color is great to wear with heavy eye makeup to help tone down lip makeup.

Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick in Stepping Out (deep nude)

Packaging: Rectangular, sleek, see-through tube. The applicator has a pointed end with a hole in the middle.

Scent: Very lightly scented

Application: Smooth, creamy, feels light-weight when applied. Feels comfortable on the lips and dries nicely. It is a matte formula but it doesn’t feel drying.

Review: I’m not a huge fan of this particular shade since it’s not one I would wear often but it is a nice fall color. I really like the formula and would like to get one in a pinkish color for nights out.

If you want to keep followers, you should announce the giveaway winner. You had people jump through hoops to enter (comment on 3 posts, etc). The least you could do is announce the winner.
