Hello Foodies! This is review number 5 for my monthly snack subscription to Nature Box. I have 1 more box left to share with you until my semi-monthly prepaid subscription comes to an end. I will not be resubscribing and I am not sure if I will rejoin in the future. Continue reading if you would like to know more about the snacks I chose this month. Snacks included in this month’s review are: 1. Black and White Granola, 2. Cranberry Pepita Crisps, 3.Whole Wheat Lemon Figgy Bars, 4. Fuji Apples, and 5. Roasted Garlic Pumpkin Seeds.
Here are the 5 snacks I chose listed according to my most liked first:
Review for NatureBox Snacks
|1. Black and White Granola: This package contains three servings of 3/4 cup each. I ate handfuls of this stuff when I was in the mood for chocolate and it satisfied my craving. This was the best tasting snack in this month’s box and one of the better tasting snacks this company has to offer. It is a Nature Box recommended snack. If you are already subscribed to this company I would recommend trying this snack out if you are looking to satisfy your sweet tooth. I think the hazelnuts in this blend make it extra tasty.
Ingredients: 1. Whole Rolled Oats, 2. Milled Cane Sugar, 3.Vegetable Oil (canola and/or safflower and/or sunflower oil), 4. Rice Flour, 5. Cornstarch, 6. Chocolate Chunks (chocolate liquor, sugar, anhydrous dextrose, cocoa butter, soy lecithin [an emulsifier], vanilla extract), 7. Cocoa Powder [processed with alkali], 8. Whole Oat Flour, 9. Honey, 10.Salt, 11.Natural Flavor, 12. Barley Malt Syrup, 13. Herb Blend (sugar, cardamom, fennel seed, fenugreek, nutmeg), 14. Hazelnuts.
|2.Cranberry Pepita Crisps: This was the only package this month that didn’t come in a resealable package. It has about 4.5 servings for each 9 crisps you consume. Of course I ate more than 1 serving per sitting. It’s hard not to! They are sprinkled with sugar you can’t stop eating them. This is one of the few snacks that didn’t contain a lot of extra ingredients and most were recognizable.
Ingredients: 1. Whole Grain Wheat Flour, 2. Filtered Water, 3. Cranberries (cranberries, sugar, sunflower oil), 4. Organic Cane Sugar, 5. Sunflower Oil With Rosemary Extract, 6. Pumpkin Seeds, 7. Sea Salt, 8.Yeast, 9. Guar Gum, 10. Ground Cinnamon.
|3. Whole Wheat Lemon Figgy Bars: I really enjoyed the Whole Wheat Raspberry Figgy Bars that I ordered last month. So of course I ordered the lemon flavored ones to see if they were just as good. They don’t look anything different from the Raspberry Figgy Bars, the size, the servings, and down to the color, no difference. If you ordered different flavored figgy bars and took them out of the package you won’t be able to tell which flavor is which especially because the flavors are not written individually on the package. The taste and texture is similar except you can taste a hint of lemon in these. These were good but I didn’t enjoy them as much as the Raspberry ones.
|4. Fuji Apples: My favorite snacks from Nature Box is the one ingredient ones. Those of course are the dried fruits. They don’t have any other ingredients so it is the closest to healthiest when it comes to snacks. These are soft, chewy, and juicy. You can taste the apple skin as you eat this. It has a hint of sweetness that isn’t overly sweet. Perfect to eat on the go and less messy and loud to eat if you need an extra boost of energy.
Ingredients: 1. Apples
5.Roasted Garlic Pumpkin Seeds: I chose this snack because I wanted to try another healthy option besides the dried fruits. This one sounded yummy, roasted garlic flavored pumpkin seeds. These were just okay. I made an error in the images below, the rating is not 1/5. These taste just like pumpkin seeds that have been flavored with garlic.
Ingredients: 1. Pepitas, 2. Peanut Oil, 3. Salt, 4. Garlic Seasoning
This month’s overview:
Overall: All of the snacks were interesting and a few of them including the Black and White Granola and Cranberry Pepita Crisps were awesome. This snack subscription is awesome for someone who wants to try healthier snack options but finds it hard to eat actual fruits. Or for someone who can’t get enough of chips and snacks loaded with preservatives and artificial colors. This snack subscription tries to deliver snacks that are free from preservatives. Just note that they do add sweeteners and sugars. Also to keep in mind this snack subscription is not USDA Organic and they aren’t completely healthy. I hope this information helps if you were deciding to subscribe or not.
